New to all this so please be kind

I currently own a camera slider that is 1.2m
amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01 … UTF8&psc=1

and i would like to turn it into a motorised slider, I have seen on this site this slider.

robotshop.com/uk/motorized-c … mount.html

There is a PDF on that slider about wiring it all together etc. I just wanted to know if someone could point me in the right direction of parts, motor, belts case for switches, circuit board i need etc. Everything but the slider. Im handy so im aware its a different slider and mounting it all or drilling new holes in the slider isnt an issue for me. Its just the rest of it, as stated the motor and electronic side.

I would like on the box a power on etc which way the motor turns and to adjust speed. If this is an impossible task nothing lost.

Hi mallowsm,

What kind of control are looking to achieve on the slider ?
The easier is to control a DC motor with a Potentiometer (analog input) on a motor controller.

This will give you control over Speed but will not allow you to have an accurate position or to repeat accurately a sequence of moves.
It’s basically what does the controller in the RatRig slider.

Let us know,
