Here is a little peek at the new MMT-03 brackets we just got in! Give us a couple days to set them up on the website. They are heavy duty made from 0.125" thick aluminum. The motor mounting hole pattern will accept the GHM-01, 02, 12, 13, 14, 15, plus the PGHM-01, 02, 03 motors. These new brackets will make a lot of things possible. 8)
This is what Tyberius needs for his J5 arms, or better yet, it’s a great solution to replace the loaded hip servos with something like this. more power for less dollar…
Well there is the little issue of higher current drivers, and the lack of feedback… What these are really intended for are to put a motor / wheel on the end of SES tubes, channels, or even servos!
Yar, I don’t think standard DC motors would work for the hip servos, couldn’t swing continuous rotation without heavy gearing.
The arm servos on my bot are fine now that I upgraded them to 5990TGs.
The hip servos are going to be replaced with 5990TGs eventually anyway, and I’m adding a 2nd rear shock to help out. All the extra weight from the new arms is pushing the current design to it’s limits.
WOO!!! those look NICE!
Does anyone have dimensional data on them yet? Or will I just have to order a pair and measure?
Those might make great “hands” for the bipeds. Imagine twirling a mace or something with it and whacking your bot’s opponent…
I sent the drawings to Linuxguy for 3D modeling, but I have not received anything back from him.
Finally, SES Compatible Motor Mounts. 8)
We’ve been waiting for those! Real nice work Jim!
It will be fun to try to do a Transformers that can go form 4X4 motor drive (with gaer head motors) to a wling humanoid!
I just sent a large package of 3D models to Beth, including the new MMT-03, ASB-201, and ASB-202. There are also the HUB-12, HUB-13, MMT-02, and GHM-04 (alas, discontinued). I still have one part of the A4WD1 chassis to complete.
Formats included for each model are Alibre, IGES, and STEP214.

The replacement 12vdc version of that motor has the exact same dimensions. 8) Thanks for the 3D stuff!
That’s good to know. The model can be relabled/renamed then and my work will not be lost to the bit bucket.
You’re welcome! I did the MMT-03, ASB-201, and ASB-202 this morning. Would any of the Hitec 1/4 scale servos be OK for dimensions to create a 3D model from?

These brackets were designed to fit the HS-755 or the HS-5745. They are not indentical, but they are close enough. It doesn’t matter to me which one is modeled.
