New Scooba only cleans for 20 minutes

Hi I ordered a Scooba floor washing robot. I have recently recieved my order which was delivered in great condition. However after charging it for the inital 16 hours i am finding that the mop only cleans for 20 minutes before it needs to recharge, this then only takes 2 hours and also the clean water tank is never less than 1/2 full after this cleaning. The mop is left on charge all the time and is used perhaps every two days . I am wondering if there is a fault on the battery as it states in the instructions that it should run for approximately 45 minutes on a full battery and use a full tank of water.

Your Scooba battery will need several charge and discharge cycles for it to clean at its maximum potential. It is not unlikely that the Scooba only runs for 20 minutes on its first cleaning cycle.

When the Scooba does stop, the power light flashes red? If so, keep charging and using your Scooba and you will see that it will clean for a longer period of time after a few cleaning cycles.
