New plastic rotating base

I see there’s a new plastic rotating base for sale that looks like it might be a more stable mount for the SES arm than the metal arm stand.

But the SES arm page says there is a metal rotating base coming out soon. Is that still the case? Any target date for availability?

By the way, Jim: the plastic base is a bit hard to find on the web site. The version with servo included is listed as “out of stock”, but elsewhere on the site there is a version without the servo that is shown as “in stock”.

The text saying a metal arm is comming is probably just old and needs to be updated. The plastic base will be available with servos when we have finished changing the L5 and L6 arms to use it. So much work… sigh

The “coming soon” bit was simply outdated. The text is referring to the “Metal Arm Base” (MAB-01).

Thanks, Jim and Beth. So, to attach the SES arm to the plastic rotating base, all I need is an ASB-13B?

The necessary mounting hardware seems to be included, based on the picture.

Correctamundo!
