New here building a rover robot

Hello…

Brand new here… appreciate any help i can get… i have engineering background in aeronautics, have built and flown planes but robotics, pretty much dumb as a box of rocks.

i have a pair of DC motors from a Jazzy scooter that i want to use on a robotics application.(you can see the Jazzy online), the motors are 24v dc, i think they are brush motors so lets go with that assumption for know, unless you have knowledge otherwise.

i would like to use a hand held single axis, dual joy stick, wireless remote to controle this motors forward and reverse, with fine speed control as opposed to preset speeds.

the motors work on the system with its own single joystick. but for my application, i need to control the motors seperately.

the controller needs to handle up to 50 amps at 24VDC.

can you recommend the products that will achieve my objective?

Thanks in advance.

Frank.

You’ll need a dual channel brushed DC motor controller that can handle 24V and 50A per channel and accepts analog input.
Our selection of 30A+ controllers can be found here:

You can read in the specs if they accept analog input (so you can use a joystick).
