New base turntable lean?

Hi

When the rotating base BR-NS has components attached and is supporting its 10 lbs, can it be leaned 90 degrees without the top of the turntable base falling off (such as a torso bending all the way over at the waist)

I read that a 12 vdc car battery can vary up to 13-13.5 v
Can a car battery be used as a power source for the Sabertooth 2x5

An actual lead-acid car battery can easily be 14.5V or more right off the charger. Ideally though it will be right around 13.8V when fully charged.

The rotating base can easily support the 10lbs. However I never intended for that 10 lbs to be off balance as you are describing. As some here may know we are currently making videos of the Johnny 5 robot. It’s able to lean quite a bit, but it’s around 2-3lbs not 10 lbs. :open_mouth:

The limit for the 2 x 5 voltage input is 18vdc. From the website.

Thanks Jim/Eddie,
Ok good so I can use a 12 vdc car battery to power a 2x5 sabertooth motor controller.

I thought that I read in another post that I can run 4 of the PGHM-03 from the 2x5, is that correct ?

Lastly, can I use the 6 volt regulator MX-05 to allow a 12vdc car battery to also supply power to my ssc32 ?

Thanks -Wayne

I have not tried to use the 2 x 5 for 4 GHM-04’s, I have used it with 2 GHM-04’s though… I can’t see any problem with using the regulator.
