Another Great Build!
I’ve been looking at yours and tinhead’s cnc build, and both look terrific. Lots of skill and hard work, I bet.
One question: What was the java program you used? Can you post up your source code for the java?
these i use
i use the chris meighan app http://www.chrismeighan.com/projects/g-code-for-reprap
very good for parsing the gcodes…
HAPPY HOLLYDAYS
HAPPY HOLYDAYS
hello brikbatbae…
In your cnc proyect, my suggestion is to go with the most simple solutions… in my case. i used the stepper drivers i made from a simple circuit i found on arduino webpage… tinheads developed the use of i2c on them… you choose… there is an easy way one… go to sparkfun.com, buy the easydriver and that`s it… dont even have to change the reprap codes… it uses the step and dir pins!!!
Indeed
I think your way is the simplest and I’m taking that into deep consideration, and your use of the h-bridge is probably my best bet for the moment. we’ll see how it goes, I’m still having trouble running the GCODE FOR REPRAP…
I’m going to tackle the software end of it first.
Gcode for RepRap:
I downloaded the jdk 6 update 17 (not even sure if this is the full program, but it seems as it is), I downloaded the rxtx libraries, but I can’t run the .bat or .jar file in my gcode for reprap folder.
Any pointers of how you got this done?
my last job with the cnc… testing 3d
this is my first test cutting 3d…
what do you think?????
thanks… very glad you
thanks… very glad you liked it…
had to change the dremel for a Makita 3/4 hp router…
this is my new control box
This will contain my electronics, atx power suply, stepper drivers and arduino mega on one box…
more pics when completed (and tested)......
yes sir
atx power for my cnc machine… more pics soon…
Very happy…
Almost done…
My machine now has a better cutting tool, Makita 3/4 HP laminate trimmer, also more options for the bits…
The control box has all inside, Arduino Mega, stepper drivers, atx power supply…
Made some cable holders to make a cleaner installation…
It works really good…
So happy with the result…
cambam
i am now learning to use cambam, and thinking of adding more speed to my machine… tested it to 244 mm/min …
lmr 2 years… little late
my gift to lmr… too late…
makita
the tool i am using in the makita laminate trimmer… only bad thing is that it does not have speed control…
i am learning cam software now and also searching for ways to rise my stepper speeds…(lead screws, voltage, etc…)
maybe gonna buy bigger steppers and a new power source to make THE BIG MACHINE… in order to make bigger works…
I NEED SPEEEEEEED!!!
engraving a picture takes years… but is so cool…
can u upload a schemetic for
can u upload a schemetic for connecting driver with arduino…plllzzzzz sir … and the software u used to control dir and step reply as soon as possible…thanku
Where is step pin and dir pin?
Hi, this is newbie question.
Where is ‘step pin’ and ‘dir pin’ on that schematic?
I found function do_step() in stepper_control.pde file.
Is this function to drive the stepper?
Thanks.
drivers
can this firmware work with the 2 pin unipolar circuit as provided on the arduino website?
query
Can i use a DC Brushed motor with controller instead of stepper motor to move the tool along X, Y and Z axis?
Here is the link to the motor i am thinking about
