someone with more free time than myself (imagine that HA!) really needs to make a laptop with 2 arms attached that would allow it to type on it’s own keyboard. This would of course allow it to play nethack on itself. So… get on it guys!
How many keys do you really need to play nethack?
If you can get away with thirty-two keys then just use a SSC32 and set up one servo per key.
If you want to get fancy though you can probably come up with a simple mechanism that will allow one servo to actuate two adjacent keys.
A billion servos would take the robotics out of it, too much.
If the point is simply to get the fastest possible keypresses, then that’s how you’d do it.
But, it just wouldn’t look cool enough.
Besides, if you simply wanted ultrafast keypresses, simply write a program that pretends that those keys were pressed.
I’m pretty sure that most .NET languages can do that…
