Need to buy low cost high quality soldering iron

Hello,

Can the forum here recommend the best value (and effective) soldering iron for fine work? Also a unit that is sold by Robot Shop? I bought an Adafruit Arduino Uno DC motor driver shield and it came without headers soldered (ugh) so now I need to solder them on. I thought about buying a soldering station by Hakko, and I still might, but for the little soldering I plan to do, I thought maybe an adjustable hand held would be the way to go. Its also for pretty fine work, so it needs a few different heads, and ideally adjustable heat. There are so many choices and price points I don’t really know what is the best option, I thuoght I would ask people who have personal experience with Arduino/Adafruit header soldering. Any advice would be appreciated, and I will probably buy it from Robot Shop, I am based in Ottawa. Thx Steven Lightfoot

Thanks, that is helpful!!! Can you confirm that it is made in China (for the price I have to assume). Also, I have some very fine soldering to do installing some header pins on a very small Adafruit board, I ideally would like someone with personal experience to comment on this. Again, thank you.
