I have two motors (kelinginc.net/KL23H276-30-8B.pdf) that each draw 3.0 amps/phase when connected in unipolar, and up to 4.2 amps/phase when connected in bipolar.
Does RobotShop have a controller that will work for my motors? And can I use LabVIEW to manipulate the controller(s)?
I found the VXM-1-1 at velmex.com/ but I called the company, and it costs $1,582! There has to be a cheaper way to control my motors.
The PhidgetStepper Bipolar Stepper Motor Controller can handle up to 4A, connects to your computer via USB and has sample code in LabView.
It’s a touch less than the 4.2A you specified in bipolar mode, but it’s the most powerful we carry at this time.
We offer a few which can handle up to 3A in unipolar mode. Check out the stepper motor controller comparison table and read the datasheets to be certain they meet your needs.
Unfortunately these do not seem to have any direct LabView support.
