Need help with wild thumper controller board driver installation

Hi,
I have bought the " Dagu “Wild Thumper” Dual 15A Motor Robot Controller" to drive the wild thumper and also coding with arduino.
The thing is, I couldn’t correctly install the driver on computer for the controller board. Do you have a .inf file that we can download to install the driver for the board correctly, or any other solutions to install the driver?

Cheers.

Where you able to install the drivers? I am having the same issue with mine.

The board shows up as an Unknown Device under my USB ports on a Win7 machine. I can’t get any of the ftdi drivers to work with it. The board doesn’t do anything while connected to a Mac.

I have tried updating the driver. I am asking for exactly which driver should be used. I think I have tried them all, but would like for you to give me the exact driver needed. I downloaded every option from the FDTI website with no luck. This is already my second board, as the first one I received had more issues.

I am using Win7 32bit. I have downloaded the VCP drivers and installed them via the executable. I have also tried manually selecting the FTDIBUS and FTDIPORT files with no luck. I have tried both USB2.0 ports as well as both of my USB3.0 ports. I also tried installing this on a WinXP computer and two other Win7 machines. Mac and Linux did not work either. I get error code 43 upon plugging the device into the computer. It is recognized as an Unknown Device. After manually selecting the Serial Converter driver, I get error code 10 (device failed to start).

Odd. Can you say which operating system you are using? You need to download the VCP (virtual COM port) drivers so your computer picks up the FTDI chip as a COM port. On the page, you will see a table and on the left side of the table, the different operating systems. If you are NOT running a 64 bit operating system, download the x86 driver. If you are running a 64 bit system, download the x64 driver. Install the driver without the device connected. Once installation is complete, plug the USB from the controller to a new USB port and see if it picks up.

Let’s look into an RMA. Can you contact us via the support center (returns / exchanges dept) and indicate your invoice number and the product? It is very unfortunate that you received not only one but two (seemingly) defective boards. Should we proceed with an exchange, you can request that we test (plug in) the replacement before shipping.

You will need to install the FTDI drivers that you can find here: ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm

What issues are you having? Is the board registering as a COM port on your computer?

Have you tried to update its drivers under the Device Manager on Windows? If you have tried and the driver still does not respond, please send us a ticket requesting an exchange.
