Need help with my 3 segment polypod

Im new to this kind of robotics and need help. I have a 3 seg polypod with a lynx 5 arm ssc-32 with a bot board 2 atom 28 pro. i am only 14… This is some hard stuff. I have been working with the sequencer and im slowly getting it. I cant get my bot board connected to my computer and have no knowledge in any code but visual basic… Can somone help me.

when you brought these kits/parts have you read any of the info on LM web pages on how to get start?

we all learn somewhere so like i said, “this is a good place”!

my first LM project i had was the discontinued EH3-R hexapod.
took me a while to get it to walk but in the end with a lot of time and practice it did.

LM have endless amounts of info you will need.
im not a programmer either but after learning i can now establish simple walking motion (gaits). by studyng the code and finding out what different parts mean you will grasp it in no time.

what is the prob you have with connection. what terminal are you using? I take it you are trying to run the board from sequencer? Have you got the BasicAtom IDE??

I do have the basicatom IDE, i used a serial connection, it could of been a little mistake…What i dont get is that on the sequencer when i make steps and play them my robots servos just go crazy. I can just move them without a problem when i move the sliders in the program.

My other is that when i get into the basicatom IDE I dont really get it… I have looked at the manuals but i guess i have to do more research. Is there a simple code i can start with to just move a servo?
