Hello everyone. I am making my own exhaust cutouts that I am hoping will be a great very different design and product after years of testing. I have very little knowledge with motors like these and all I know so far is that I need some kind of small dc/servo motor. Does anyone know what kind or where I can get a motor for my application that can stand up to the exhausts heat and vibration and at the same time function reliably in weather conditions? 12v will be needed and it doesn’t need to be very high torque. I am looking for one around the price range of 30-70$ any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Having to withstand the heat and temperature is something very hard for most actuators.
You must have to make a box or something to get it away from any water etc, maybe have a shaft that is long enough to dissipate the heat between the two.
Do you need proportional actuator on only On-Off on 12vdc by a switch ?
