Could someone help me identify the correct connector here? I’m trying to purchase the wire to connect this but I have no idea what it is.
It’s on an encoder board on the bottom of a worm gear motor.
I tried mini micro 6 pin JST SH 1.0mm but they are too small.

It is probably some version of 6 pin JST connector, we just need to figure out which one.
Could you measure outer dimensions of the connector and the distance between pins (pitch)?

The outer dimension is around 12mmx3.67mm
I think the pitch is 1mm but it’s really hard to measure the pins with my calipers…I think it is 1mm though when trying to measure

Are you sure it is 1mm pitch?
Because JST-SH has 1mm pitch and you say it is too small?
I am not sure of the pitch. It was the best I could do with my calipers

This looks like a High Torque DC Worm Gear Motor w/ Encoder:
It dimensions of the motors are similar, maybe the connector is also similar.
According to this datasheet, encoder has 1×6 female header with a0.1″ pitch, which would be JST-RE according to this table:
