I am a high school science teacher. One of my students is interested in brain waves and designing an experiment using the NeuroSky MindWave Mobele 2 EEG Sensor Starter Kit. I was hoping someone out there may be willing to answer some questions about this piece of equipment. thanks rich

I am trying to find out if this
NeuroSky MindWave Mobele 2 EEG Sensor Starter Kit
would be appropriate for one of my students in high school who wants to set up
and experiment to look at brain waves while students are doing a complex task such as
math problems and comparing it to a less complex task such as reading short written passage or
meditating. Can the instrument do this, would it be hard to get data to look at lets say wave numerical values
in a CVS file to do comparisons and graphing. We hope this is possible as the price point is affordable. Does the
softward come with it and is it able to be used on a PC? Thanks fro responding to me Teacherrich
Indeed, it’s a good and inexpensive tool to check concentration and other factors.
- Attention
- Meditation
- Eye Blink Detection
- BandPower
… and more coming
Take a look at the range of both free and relatively inexpensive apps they have:
Two which are based around math:
If the student really does want to deal with raw values:
We are not really programmers so is it “difficult” to use a development tool to get the raw numbers that the head set is recording?

As such, it’s best to browse the various apps, take a look at the screenshots and description of each and see which are of interest.
we will do thanks
