Hi,
I am working on a project where I am using a power wheel chair as a mobile platform. I have a radio (RadioLink AT9S 10CH) and motor controller (Sabertooth Dual 2x32A 6V-24V Regenerative) picked out for the main drive motors, but I’m trying to determine the best controller for driving/controlling the 2 actuators that came with the power wheelchair. I’ve been looking at using the Cytron 13A, 5-25V Single DC Motor Controller to drive the actuators, but I’m just not very confident in picking one myself. So, I would appreciate any advice on that and/or on the viability of my choice of controller for the drive motors. Below is the info that I’ve gathered for the actuators and other general info:
Actuator Info
]Max Amperage: 12A (I think this may be the max output of the actuator port on the original control board which is a VR2)/:m]
]Voltage: 24V DC/:m]
]Brand: L&K/:m]
]Model: 59LYT2431A/:m]
]Other info: DC 24/5W G 01 14/:m]
]Etched on back: WZ MOTOR/:m]
General Info
]Power Chair info: merits.com.tw/english/products/detail-02.php?pid=17/:m]
]Weight Capacity 136kg/300lb/:m]
]Max. Speed 7.2kph/4.5mph/:m]
]2 differential drive motors: Brushed DC 24V, 180W(Rating) / 630W(Max)/:m]
]Electromagnetic breaks/:m]
]Batteries: 12V/ 22NF x 2pcs/:m]
Thanks in advance
P.S. I have pictures of the actuator if needed.
