I bought the Lynxmotion 12v 1600 mAH NiMH Rechargeable Battery pack. Do you guys carry a charger that will work with it? I want something that can take an AC source(wall plug) and has a Tamiya connector for the battery pack.
Lynxmotion recommends the charger at the link below. Do you guys have it in stock?

I’m in British Columbia. Can it still be ordered?
I have checked all of the local hobby shops and they don’t have anything for a 10-cell battery pack. I guess most R/C cars run off 7.2V DC… If you guys can stock/special order a charger that doesn’t require a power supply that would be great. Even if it is different from the one listed on Lynxmotion…
If that will work I will purchase it. On your page for that product it says that it is for 7.2V and 9.2V VEX battery packs. If it has peak detection for NiMH batteries and can charge a 10-cell battery pack I will go with it. The local hobby shops have high-end $150 chargers that work with many battery types up to 14 cells, but I would like a cheap universal charger for NIMH and NICD like the one on Lynxmotion.
I have other stuff that I need to order too, so if you guys have a charger that will work that would be great.
Recommend a power supply for the Multiplex charger so I can charge my 12V battery pack. Does it come with a Tamiya connector or will I have to purchase that too?
We can special order it for you if you are in the U.S.A. Please submit a ticket to the support center and we will take good care of you. Mention special order from Lynxmotion “RB-Lyn-00” USC-02 and the quantity. We order very regularly from Lynxmotion.
Unfortunately that charger is U.S.A. only (lacks certification). We may have some alternatives.
The VEX Smart Charger would also work. From the manual “(the charger is capable of charging anywhere between 7.2V and 12.0V). The Smart Charger can charge both NiCd and NiMH batteries.” You would also need the North American plug.
Vex advertises that it can charge both NiCd and NiMH up to 12V. They specify 7.2V and 9.2V packs because those are the standard batteries that VEX offers. According to the specifications, you should be able to charge a 12V NiMh pack (10 x 1.2V cells), but not 14 x 1.2V = 16.8V. The plastic case looks almost identical to the ones offered by Lynxmotion, so it may very well be the same supplier (this is only speculation though). As far as battery charging goes, the Multiplex is one of the most versatile and is well worth the investment.te however that it is intended to plug into a power supply and does not include a wall adapter.
The multiplex does not come with a Tamiya connector, though we supply it. For a power supply, it depends largely on the current your application will need. Overnight charging can be at C/10 (in your case 1600mA/10 = 160mA) while fast charging can be at C/3.3, or in your case 1600/3.3 = 484mA). Note that there will be some efficiency losses in charging. With this information, you can take a look at the lab power supplies we offer to find the best one to suit your needs. The Multiplex and a lab power supply provides for a very versatile and long-term setup.
