Neato XV-12 0002 battery issue

Just purchased a new motherboard for my mom’s Neato because it had what I called the “Dim green light of death” and would only turn on with luck and convincing. The new motherboard powered up just fine with her batteries, but after a day of charging came up with the 0002 error. Thinking that her batteries were shot, I used the batteries from my perfectly good Neato in hers and as a test, but her batteries in mine. I think that was a mistake. Now both Neato’s are reporting 0002 errors. My initial guess is that her goofy batteries shorted out something in both motherboards, but if anyone has any ideas I would be happy not to spend another $80/board to get both vacuums running again…

Thanks.

Have you tried using the correct batteries back in your robot?
Please verify if the batteries are correctly installed, sometimes, the connectors are not properly fit in and the error 0002 appears.

We also suggest you to use the robot’s menu > Support > New Batteries and let your robot charge for the next 6 hours.
