Neato XV-11 Hacked! | RobotShop Community

About a week after the Open LiDAR project was announced, the Neato XV-11 has been hacked and now its juicy LiDAR data can be used by everybody. This effectively makes the Neato XV-11 not only one of the most advanced vacuum cleaner robots in the market, but also, the cheapest LiDAR available.

sarcasm :
Omg guys Porsche has a 50 cent lidar used for the back up warning system!!! /ALL/ you have to do is buy a 200k $ Porsche and you can get your hands on a lidar.

Not cutting down the idea, just the choice of product.

LOL!

This is rather interesting. Would you care posting any links to the LiDAR?

I never heard of such a sensors. This is faily new technology, and 400$ to extract a laser rangefinder sur is a godsend when the closest alternative is a 2000$ Hokuyo sensor…

His “anonymous” sarcasm shows total lack of understanding of what was done here. I pitty the fool!

Surely a great offer. I have worked with Hokuyo’s first version of the 2000 and it is quite a nice instrument since I could reproduce objects relatively precisely with it. So, if this scanner is as good as that, then this robot is a must and Christmas wishlist even for my robotics lab.

hellow sir it’s superb and marvelous and efficient ,but i don’t no much to examine myself in robotics weather it’s correct or not please help me

Check out the true TOF ladar LDR-M10 for robotic use at miremadi.com. It works outside in the sun and is really fast. Same price.
