Neato D7 not charging - but not a battery issue!

Hi!

I have a Neato D7 that normally works fine. One day it went to the charger, but wasn’t charging. I kept adjusting it, but over a few days, the battery slowly died from lack of charge. Initially, I checked for voltage from the charger, and found voltage on charger and going to D7 all the way to the daughter board area.

Many people mentioned the battery might be the issue, so I replaced it… well, it wasn’t the problem, lol. So it seems that it is somewhere on a computer board that is causing the issue, as I have the correct voltage coming in and a new battery.

Any advice on where to look?

Charger, battery, and motherboards

Updated software/firmware.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hi @Cinders,

Are you using original genuine Neato battery? Or it is a cheaper copy?

I’ve heard that these copies can damage the motherboard of the Neato in the long run.

Yeah, always Neato battery. It’s gotta be a motherboard issue or a soldering point
