Neato Botvac: best deal

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it the differences between the different models in the Neato Botvac series is simply in the accessories that come with the bundle package:

After looking at the numbers, I came to the conclusion that it’s cheaper to purchase a Botvac 70e and purchase the accessories separately to get the same components that a higher model bundle has:

Conclusion
If you don’t mind the orange color, the best bang for your buck is to start with the Botvac 70e and upgrade to the same components as the Botvac 80. You’ll not only save $11 but you’ll end up with an additional standard brush, standard filter, and extra pet filter on top of what the Botvac 80 bundle offers.

I also found that Costco offers a Botvac 65, which is a special Costco-only build of the Botvac (costco.ca/Neato-Botvac-65-Pe … 30575.html). I haven’t been able to figure out what it’s bundled with but it sounds like it could be a Botvac 80 with a 4-pack set of standard filters.

It has free shipping though I’m not sure if it’s fully covered under Costco’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee warranty or if it falls under the electronics exclusion (90-day return/refund).

If anyone can confirm the exact build and warranty coverate from Costco, that would be great.

It is true that the only difference between the Botvac models are the included accessories. The robots themselves are the same and have the same motors and sensors etc. If you do therefore decide to purchase accessories at the same time as the purchase and save on shipping fees, it is a good option. Generally the accessories that come with the robot are enough for several months and accessories are purchased at a later date.

Please note that products purchased from Costco come with a manufacturer 1 year warranty. If you want more for your money, we suggest that you consider a purchase with RobotShop that comes with a free 5 year warranty.

Update: I’ve been able to confirm from Costco that domestic robots are not subject to the 90-day electronic clause which means that if you have any problems with it, it’s fully covered by the 100% Satisfaction guarantee.
