N20 Brushed DC Motor Lifespan

I am building an invention prototype, and think I need a size N20 brushed motor with a gearbox reduction. I am looking at achieving 60 rpm’s under very low load requirements, perhaps 2 oz-in.

The time of use is perhaps 2 minutes running time per day.

Under ideal voltage and current, can anyone give me an idea of how many hours of use I might expect from such a unit?

Can you clarify what you mean by N20 brushless motor? At this time our selection of brushless DC gear motors is limited:

I meant brushed motor

What would an N20 brushed motor be? Do you have a specific model in mind on the RobotShop website?

How about this product?

Pololu 250:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor

Product Code : RB-Pol-63

There is no specific rated life span on the motor - not easy to determine what will fail, especially since the torque applied can change, as well as the voltage and how it’s applied.
What we can say is that if you want it to operate for a long time, it’s best to operate it at nominal voltage for maximum efficiency. Low torque will also reduce wear and tear.
