i am using serial port to link the ssc-32 to my cpu…the problem i faced was when i open the vseq,it pop out and says that cant find ssc-32 card…
from help file i notice that it asked me to choose com1 or com2 which i had tried it but still cannot detect my ssc-32…i am using a serial cable soldered 2,3 and 5th pin…i can control my motor using lynxterm and the same cable but however using vseq which i bought,it seems that i cant connect to it
Hello honnjinn,
making a RS232 cable is not so easy
on the SSC-32 side, you are right, only pins 2,3 and 5 are needed,
but the PC side is another story…
take a look at this page airborn.com.au/rs232.html
especially the part :
.
Below is another loopback site. I’ve found making the loopback connections (skipping the tx/rx lines) is generally required on win 98 machines. My xp machine doesn’t require this, but it all probably depends on the serial software.
