Since it is a Roomba 980, it could possibly still under warranty.
Let me know where you bought it and possibly contact your dealer for warranty information.
I believe that the sound could be related to the vacuum but probably not an issue.

I bought at best buy, still on warranty,…but since I’m currently living in Brazil, its impossible to take to warranty

I entered in the website with the Live Chat and they diagnosed that the the motor (which is inside the bin) is slightly loosing its touch…so they are sending a new bin!
