I am participating in Google Science Fair 2013. So, I thought of sharing my idea. A simple idea. I have modified loudspeaker drivers in two ways. The benefit of each are:

1) Higher amplitude of sound, no increase in size.

2) Decreased size. But can still produce a wide range of frequencies. This is achieved by eliminating the need of multiple drivers
