So I thought you guys mite be interested in what I have built. I haven’t done much with it for the past five or six months (school). I was thinking about junking the ssc-32 and going with the robonova control board. I want to use gyros but don’t what to write my own code from scratch. Right now I don’t know if I should continue with this one or just start over with a robonova.
Hey helishaun! Welcome to the forums 8)!
That is one cool Biped you’ve got there! Actually, that is the same exact design I was planning on doing for my BRAT upgrade. Sadly I needed to sell my BRAT to buy a new computer.
If you ask for my opinion, I think you should keep this biped!! Get a Basic Atom and Mini-ABB from Lynxmotion. It is far better than the one the RoboNova comes with! You can also get a lot of support from the lynxmotion community if you run into any holes or road blocks. Why spend $1000 for a new biped when you already have that awesome one? It might not have arms… But it looks wicked awesome and you could do a lot of neat things.
Cheers,

Very nice design! I like the leg configuration.
No arms? NO problem! with the SES brackets, you can sprout some arms for it. You can do several things, one way is to re do the torso using SES brackets, or design your own torso like you have done and simply drill mounting holes to accept an ASB-04 or ASB-18 for a shoulder for arms. Creativity is made easy with Lynxmotion, Oh geez, now I sound like a commercial.
Maybe, but it is really catchy.
LOL! it is kinda catchy. We need to get James Earl Jones to say it and it would be perfect!
Sweet biped. It would be killer as a full humanoid.
