My Neato robot does not visit all rooms in the flat

Hello!
I just purchased Neato vacuum cleaner robot.
It does cleaning, but it does not visit all the rooms in my flat.
All the floors are wood floor.
Neato starts in the dining room, cleans it pretty well, then it gets out of the open door into the corridor and enters another room, but in that room it only briefly goes to the opposite wall and back (not covering all the room), then returns to the dining room and that’s it. It never tries to go to the other end of the corridor, where there is another bedroom, lounge and kitchen.
I don’t know wht it ignores other rooms, there are no any obstacles at all on its way.

Will appretiate any help…

Hi! We would suggest you a few things:

  • Try to move the charging station to another spot in your house, as it can help the navigation.
  • Shutdown the robot completely to reset its programming. To do so, select in the menu > Support > Shutdown.
  • You can also update your robot to the current software, which can be done by following the instructions on our blog.

You could define a corridor to the next room using intermediate no go lines in the Neato app. I had the same problem, but this workaround did the job for me.

What model did you purchase?

Base needs to be clear 3 feet either side. Says so in the manual.

D5 doesn’t have zone cleaning, the D7 has it. So if you want to spot clean you need to pick it up and move it manually. Or pay 300 more for the D7. The thing weighs 3 pounds. Not a huge deal.

I bring the charging station upstairs when I wanna vacuum there, but since the D3 doesn’t have multiple floor plans, I have to run it without the No go lines. Not a big deal, it still finishes the entire 2nd floor, and even returns to the base to charge up and complete the job.
