My Multi-Dart Launcher

I finshed my multi-dart launcher hack. (Photo A) The launcher is loaded with 12 foam darts and was hacked from an RC toy. I mounted it to the Lynxmotion turntable using two pieces of Lexan that were cut out to resemble CDs. (Photo B) The middle holes allow me to access the servo screw. The bottom Lexan disc is attached to the servo horn and the top Lexan disc is attached to dart launcher. The two discs are connected to each other using hex struts. I have a video of an early demo program showing the launcher panning and firing when an object triggers an infrared sensor. Photos and You Tube link below.

Neat! Now time to add a pan/tilt so it can shoot DOWN at small things :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice video. what MCU are you using?

Thank you for your kind comments.

robodude666 - I have pan, but elevation control would be cool. A 45 degree projection angle allows the launcher to shoot a dart about 20 feet.

SN96 - The robot is an ARobot from Arrick. It comes with a PIC16F84 as the motor control coprocessor and a Basic Stamp as the main processor. I have a Stamp 2e. The PC board has connections for up to two DC motors and four servo motors. I also bought the expansion kit which provided me with the upper deck
