My First Robot

This is my first robot, which I made based on Frits’ great tutorials.

  • Actuators / output devices: GM9 143:1 gear motor
  • CPU: Picaxe 28x1
  • Power source: 4AA Pack/ 3AA Pack
  • Programming language: Picaxe basic
  • Sensors / input devices: SRF05

I haven’t loaded a program yet, and I wanted to make sure that the servo was in the middle position before I put the sensor on—I’ll do that today.

Is that a paralax ping

Is that a paralax ping sensor? aren’t these types of sensors more acurate than IR?

It’s the SRF05 sensor. It’s a lot better than the Sharp IR sensors that I originally tried (and has a much bigger range).
