This is my first post. I hope to have the proper forum resume so that I can share a couple of BRAT vids I uploaded.
Compliments to everyone at Lynxmotion for creating such a great biped kit for tinkerers like me.

Go ahead and PM me the links and I will post them for you.
Here are the video links of the biped BRAT, ConVERSE:

Cool videos. Nice work. 8)
conVERSE is now my homeyBOT, adorning a new custom outfit made from lightweight recycled fabric. His clothes are made in three parts and attached using velcro to insure easy access for batt charging and other maintenance.
The HIPclips links are coming in a separate message to follow. I have gotten way caught up in cosmetics and need to get back to the serious robotic work of code revision. Oh well, too much fun.
In the links, you will see conVERSE roaming with his I.R. sensor using slightly revised autonomous code. He also sports an onboard mini color cam. More to come.

I managed to get conVERSE to hold still long enough for a still photo. Below is the link.

Note the flexibility of his custom outfit. Just like any good designer ensem…it looks good on the outside…is comfy and hides all the ugliness underneath.
More to come. Hopefully I will get outta this designer fashion mode soon.

Reminds me of those paper bags they give you at the grocery store, but i like that flexibility isn’t greatly affected, if at all, by this skin. I might use a similar design for my plastic parts, its always nice to see what people come up with.
Thanks for the comments, RandomFish.
This fabric came from a promotional carry bag I was given at a recent conference. You’ve seen these…two straps and a logo imprint on the front. It’s actually lighter and more flexible and durable than paper, ableit has that same organic look and feel.
I simply used fabric sheers to cut away the stitching. What I was left with was enough fabric to craft the two leg pieces and the two other wraps. Also incorporated the straps into the outfit. Layering from legs-up affords access to hardware and movement of mechanicals. Velcro and zip ties are great fasteners.
