My (athnex's) eh1

First post, but uh, I orderd a hex1 a few months back and built it with an Atom Pro 28, eventually figured out how it all works and uh, with the goal in mind to let the robot wonder around and not hit anything and generally be auntonomous, and I’ts pretty good at not getting stuck right now. But uh, it does some cool things…
Specs:
AtomPro 28
Sharp IR sensor
Mini Atom Bot Board
Eh-1 kit
Pan+Tilt B
Fan from a 486SX/Pentium something
6volt regulator
7.2v 1600mah batt

It works basicly by panning the IR sensor back and forth, and looking down to make sure its on the ground, or uh, has ground before it moves, it walks forward normally, while using an inturrupt to scan the area. I can give the source out if anyone wants it.

It also can monitor its own battery levels and such.
It dosnt need a fan, but I had it, and I thought it was cool. Anyways some pics if any of you want to look.

I really enjoyed building it,and coding it, and have been very happy with the kit, its good stuff. When I get more money and time to waste I am obviously buying a Eh3-r or something so i can take over the world more effectivly.

cool project Athnexim , i was lookin at buying the 3 servo hexapod, but i went with the Rover 1 instead

the Eh3-r would definatly b more suited to taking the earth over, all of us more or less form a group for world domination :smiling_imp: (atleast thats what i think) , i like to think of it as a robotic army, everyone contributes a little bit, with Jim as the general

Nice project!

The more-legged approach does indeed seem more desirous for world-domination-bent applications.
As Andy Lippitt has previously advised me, a backhoe-legged hexapod is an ideal instrument of destruction.
The EHR-3 seems to be the best way to work up to that.
