My 10 year old asked Santa to help her build a robot...help!

Good morning!

My name is Erin Fox and I am a mother of a very motivated 10 year old girl. I am in search of someone who can make one of her creations, a dragon, into a robot or for a kit for her to do it herself. Her dream is to become an engineer and this is the only thing she has asked for this Christmas. I have attached a picture she has written to her “elf” and the dragon she wants to bring to life.

I am reaching out to you in hopes that you can steer me in the right direction. I want to cultivate her love for learning and creating.

That’s really great that your daughter has interests in robotics.
Transforming that dragon into a robot that fly wouldn’t be possible as is. If you would like flying robot that has a shape of an animal, you can take a look at the Avitron Bluetooth Bionic Bird. It is not a kit that she can assemble, as it is already assembled.

For a good introduction to robotics, I would suggest the MakeBlock mBot v1.1 Blue STEM Educational Programmable Robot (2.4G). It is an all-in-one solution to enjoy the hands-on experience of programming, electronics, and robotics.
