I am looking at the best way to run multiple motors

Hello @Ijbooth,

We would need more info. Which type of motors? And how many of them?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have moved on a little since my last post.
I now have the front motors running on a sabertooth 2x32. I have ordered another 2x32
to run the the rear motor - only need now is the best way to wire it for a single motor use. Any advice re this welcome.

Good news about your progress!

I think it would be enough to wire your single motor to M1A and M1B connecting points:

Yes I that was my first thought I will try and see how it goes. I was thinking about
having the Dip switches set at. Off. On. On. On. On. Off.

Then you are in RC mode, with power supply, mixed mode, linear control and micro-controller mode.

Is that ok?

Update. I wired it up as suggested connecting to throttle on the receiver all seems fine
till I turned off transmitter then it goes full speed in reverse only stopping when I turn
the power off. If I put it in elevator it works fine but I am using that on my front wheels.
I could set it up with twin receivers but then I may have to reprogram it to slow down the wheels
and with my limited knowledge of computers that scares me.

Try putting DIP switch 6 to ON position.

Ok will try that

Update (it’s getting to be like a saga this) - I changed Dip switch 6 to ON so now it doesn’t go into
reverse when I turn the receiver off - thank you for that. My problem is now I can’t get them to work altogether. I have one controller plugged into Elevator & Aileron on the receiver and the other controller plugged into the Throttle. If I put all three in together I get a blinking light error.
I thought I could get two receivers and bind them together but the man in the shop
said I couldn’t do that with my transmitter which is a Spektrum DXe. My Dip switchs are
Off. On. On. On. On. Off controller one and Off.On.On.On.On.On. on controller two.
Any help much appreciated.

On my last post I got the Dip switches wrong. Controller one is Off.On.On.On.Off.Off

Update. By trial and error I found that if I don’t connect the 5v power lead to the receiver everything works - happy days until I turn the transmitter off again then the back wheels go into reverse. I have tried playing with the Dip switches but nothing stops it happening. If I connect it up using the jump lead all four wheels turn on one joystick. Not what I wanted but I think I’ll just put it all back together and try it.

Update. Again by trial and error I contacted the rear motors to the rudder instead of
throttle on the receiver and now it works as I had planned. I have just tryed it out and its
working ok.
