mowbot …It has a TDX Invacare electric wheelchair BASE 2 X 24 vdc MOTORS
I built a mowbot some 3 years ago and used it fine until the 2x25 sabretooth let the smoke out. I bought a 2x60 thinking bigger was safer ,since no one could tell me what the motors needed.
The thing gets a mind of it’s own when the 19.5 B/S twin is running. It goes to spinning and becomes uncontrollable … it works fine when the engine is OFF. I control with AT10 and have the switched 1 and 5 off on the 2x60Amp sabretooth
I have tried with 1 off ,no change in performance… Ignition Interference? any ideas of how to fix it???
Hi dwright361,
The first thing is to be sure you have your antennas (receiver) outside any metal compartments.
Then you will have to set your failsafe in the Transmitter to a middle position on the two channels that control the Sabertooth.
That way if the sabertooth fail to get it’s signal, it will stop.

F/S on Ch 1& 2 is 0
this is AT10 Aile and Elev.
the other option is Nor or a % of

Hi DW,
The failsafe should be set to F/S 0% (mid position).
Here is a video we found regarding the setup:

That is what I have.
I think there is ignition problem causing this. It works fine for awhile after I start the engine, then less and less control…
Hard to tell, however it is should not move if the signal is lost.
Make sure not to connect an alternator to the battery at the same time as the sabertooth
