Moving gears

Hello, I am hoping someone can help answer some questions I have. I am new to working with any type of electronic motors. I design and create Steampunk style clocks which are made with gears that I design and cut out of wood. For years my clocks have not moved except for the hands that are attached to a quartz battery operated movement. These movements do not have the torque to move any of the other gears. I want to be able to move some of the outside gears. I need to know what type of motor would I need to purchase. I need something with a higher torque but very low RPMs (no more than 5rpms). I am including a picture of one of my clocks so that you can get an idea of what I am doing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Clockmaker,

This is a very nice looking steampunk clock.
To properly choose a motor you need to know the torque needed and maybe the maximum size and power requirements.

If the thing is powered by a battery, it will not last long.
