I recently purchased a Multi-Purpose Sensor Housing and HS-422 servo from a lynxmotion distributor.
I get the impression these are supposed to be used together, but the screws supplied with the bracket are too big to fit in a standard hitec servo horn. (I’m looking at the servo mount screws, there’s a pair of even larger ones that are probably for sensor mounting)
Am I missing something, or will I have to improvise to make these work?
We used to include a simple guide for attaching sensors and connecting the bracket to the servo. When we changed to the new system that information was lost. We are in the process of making the guide in html. It should be done soon.
First off there are no parts used from the servo parts bag. This is provided with the servo by the manufacturer so we pass them on. The kit includes these parts.
2x #2 x .25" tapping screws. These are use to attach the bracket to the servo.
4x 2-56 x .188" machine screws and 2x 2-56 x .313" F/F hex spacers. These are used to attach any of the ultrasonic sensors to the bracket.
2x 4-40 x .25" socket head screws and 2x 4-40 x .25" locking nuts. These are used to connect any of the Sharp sensors to the bracket.
