Hi, I have two window motors from a Chevy S-10 that I wanted to use on a robot. They have a gear attached that drives the window regulator. I thought that I could attach a sprocket to a wheel and connect to the motor with a chain. I have not been able to find a chain or sprocket that will work. Does anyone know where I could locate these? Is there another way to use these motors? Thanks for your help.

What about direct connection? - the more middle pieces you have between two systems the more likely you will have problems (this is seems to be a valid rule in mechanical, electroncis and software). Is it too low torque, to high speed? That is the only reason I could think of why you would want to gear it down with a sproket and chain. BOA has used similiar motors on his "Big Chaser" bot - i think his motor came with its own gear reduction.
