Hi, I am an art teacher trying to learn and teach robotics. I order two (code RB-Tys-11) MotorAir - WIFI dual motor driver smartphone remote control kit. I can’t access the app for the controller. The one they show in the video is for the Bluetooth and not for the WIFI. I need to access the app for the WIFI but it does not show in my phone or can’t find a way to access.

What do you mean exactly by can’t access the app? You haven’t been able to find the apk file or you have but it doesn’t work?

Hi, so when I open my WIFI options it does not show the connection for the MotorAir control I tried looking for the app, but the app that the show in the tutorial video is only for the Bluetooth controller and not for the WIFI. I purchases the WIFI controller because I did not realized that I need it the Bluetooth one. I am trying to work with the WIFI controller but I can’t connect to it. I an not good and new with all of this controllers. I teach art and trying to make some robots and need to be remote control for the 12 motors we are using.

Did you download and install the WIFI app? the WIFI version is almost the same as the Bluetooth version, but you need to configure the IP address for the wifi bee module which is on the motor air board.

I found one link for that but it does not open. We tried with other phone and it did not opened either. I might not getting the correct one

I downloaded the one from this link http://www.tinyosshop.com/datasheet/MotorAir-WiFi.apk and installed on my android phone and it did show me what is suppossed to.

I am having trouble finding the pink app, I have the blue one but it won’t let me configure. How can I find or search for the app in google play store for to install the pink app?

Hi, I found the app only for the blue app that works on the Bluetooth, I can not find the pink app that works for the WIFI.

I’m not sure why you’re struggling to find the app if I’ve sent you the link three times already, you simply have to download the .apk file and pass it to your phone to install it, or even easier, you can open this topic on your phone and download the file directly and then install it.

PS: Remember you also need to configure the IP address on the wifi bee module to be able to control the motor driver using WIFI

Hi, I was able to install the app but keep disconnecting and would not even move the motors. I am trying to control 12v motors and I think I will look for a different set up. Thank so much for your help and kindes.

Oh, sorry to hear about that.

Have you checked if the motor driver is powerful enough to drive those motors?
The specifications of the MotorAir - WiFi Dual Motor Driver Smartphone Remote Control Kit say that it can drive two DC motors up to 2 amps per channel.

This is MotorAir! A USB dual motor driver board. It allows computer control two DC motors by using the USB port of your computer!

Meanwhile, It has a wireless extension port, can work with XBEE or Bluetooth Bee or WiFiBee module, which mean now you can control your DC motors by zigbee or Bluetooth or WiFi !

The MotorAir board can be powered by USB bus or DC power and provides two motor driver ports can drive up to 2 amps per channel. You can control two DC 5-24V motors forward or backward. You can control the motor speed. Very simple and easy to use!
