I am working on a 4-wheeled robot that has a max weight of 10 kilos and is expected to have a 120 meters journey … I have read about motors and I found out that the dc motors are the best for moving the wheels … but still I am not sure if it will be able to move my 10-Kilos robot … and i could find its specifications … any help will be appreciable
DC gear motors come in a huge range of sizes and specs, from almost microscopic, to ones which can move tons. You need an idea of the torque and rpm for your application and we suggest using the following tool:

If you need more “precise” motion, consider a motor with an encoder.
