Motor drive for Robot.. HELP PLEASE!

Hello,
I would like to know if L298 2A 6V-50V Compact Dual Motor Driver Kit ( LINK : robotshop.ca/solarbotics-l298-motor-driver-kit.html) would be able to drive the Dagu Mr. Basic( LINK: robotshop.ca/dagu-mr-basic-mobile-robotic-platform-2.html).

Also I notice the L298 2A 6V-50V Compact Dual Motor Driver Kit has a 5V low-dropout regulator would this additional 5V be able to power a Arduino Uno.

L298 2A 6V-50V Compact Dual Motor Driver Kit = Product code : RB-Sbo-24
Dagu Mr. Basic = Product code : RB-Dag-07

Please let me know ASAP since i need to buy them right away

Hi wany,

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. The motor controller you mention should be able to power Mr. Basic, and the onboard 5V regulator should be enough to power the Uno. Note that the regulator can only provide so much current, so the more devices you add to the Uno, the more current will be needed.
