Motor Controller Sizing

Hello,

I bought a couple wheelchair motors on ebay for a hauling bot, but the only specs I could find on that model was what was printed on the motor itself:

Voltage: 24V
Max Current: 4.5 Amps
Power: 350 W

I was planning on controlling them both from one of the Sabertooth Dual motor controllers but I’m not sure about the current sizing. The listing on the motor says 4.5A max, is this the stall current? From P = IV shouldn’t the max current draw be 350W/24V = 15A?

Hard to know without the motor listing.
4.5A might be the maximum continuous current draw.
Stall tends to be around 4x higher, which would be around 15A, which would explain the 350W (14.5A x 24V).
