Hello - I’m a newbie to LIDAR, but wondering if there is a plug-n-play solution that can create a 2D map of a room, but the LIDAR is mobile/robotic. I need to create templates of maybe 30 different rooms, each about 25’ x 8’, with their own shapes/walls/contours, and the LIDAR basically needs to travel within this space to capture all of the data. Anyone know of a product that exists to achieve this goal? Thanks!

You could use a robotic platform with a LIDAR, for example:

Or get a Rover and add a rotational LIDAR.
However, these are development platforms not plug and play solutions, so you would have to program the robots to do the tasks as well as process the data to create the 2D Maps.
