Missing Menu Option

I just got my copy of the sequencer a few days ago and I am trying to configure BRAT with the tutorial available. I ran into a problem, however, when enabling my servos. In step 8 of the tutorial it says to right click on the degree slider and set the position as neutral. Well I don’t have that option when I right click on the slider. It’s just missing. Anyone have any idea why?
Thanks
Zack G.

You’ll need to update your SEQ to the most current version. The “Set as Neutral” menu option is new for version 1.02.

You can download the update here, just follow the instructions listed.

I thought of that, but my disk that came in the mail has 1.02 written on it. I’ll download it tonight anyways.

Wow… I checked the CDs I had here just to be sure, and it turns out there was a miscommunication and the wrong version was burned on CD.

Updating to v1.02 (you really have v1.00) will fix your problems!

Sorry for the inconvenience… We’re fixing the CDs today.

I’ve kind of been away from this project for a while, but I need some help with this problem. I’ve updated my SSC32 and configured my BRAT per the tutorial, but my computer can’t seem to import any of the files downloaded from the Lynxmotion website. Here’s a play by play of what I did:
First, I downloaded to newest version of the Sequencer program and installed it. This went smoothly but whenever I open the Sequencer it asks me for the CD Key if I don’t have some of the downloaded files on the desktop. I’ve just left them there for now. Also, when I open up the Sequencer program, a window pops up saying that the ConfigSSC32 file could not be found.

Next, I followed the tutorial for my BRAT got to step 14 with no problems. Then, I downloaded the file straight into the Sequencer folder in my computer. When I click on projects, a window pops up stating that the “table does not exist.” I clicked OK and click through the menus on the project window to find the correct program. I click OK and then another window tells me that it is unable to open the file. I click OK and yet another window tells me something about an “Access Violation.”

Do you guys have any idea what I have done wrong? I never thought that my computer was this screwed up.

Hello Maniac05,

you’ll have to put the new V1.02 exe in the installation directory, overwriting the old exe.
it can’t work if the new exe is outside of the installation directory…
so, move it in “C:\Program Files\Sequencer_SSC-32” and click ‘yes’ to overwrite the old V1.0 one.

i’m rebuilding the new V1.02 update as a self extractor file, it will propose the installation directory by default, it will be better this way.

Sorry about the wrong version on CD…it was my fault

I just did what you said, but when I opened up the Sequencer, it asked me for the CD Key again. I put it in and tried to import a program, but the same thing happened again.

um, i’m a bit lost, sorry,

when running SEQ now, does it show the correct V1.02 version number ?
what is the first error message you get now ?

Are you sure you are running the correct exe file (the one into the installation folder “C:\Program Files\Sequencer_SSC32”, not the one from the extracted update file on the desktop ?

did you overwrite the V1.0 one with the new V1.02 in “C:\Program Files\Sequencer_SSC32” folder ?

in any case, it never ask again the serial number when updating to a new exe…

maybe using email could be better to solve your problem quickly, we will post here when fixed uh ?

for now , you can try to uninstall SEQ, install it again, then copy the new exe V1.02 from the web site into the SEQ folder (or extract it directly from the zip archive to the installation folder).

the new update V1.02 is just an update, not the complete version, you need to have the V1.0 or V1.01 previously installed, the update is only a new exe to replace the old one

I suspect that you installed the program ON the desktop. Please try uninstalling the program and installing it again from the C: drive. Leave the default settings when you install it.

Like Jim said, it sounds like the default paths are jumbled up. I would try what Jim suggest by installing the sofware to the c:\ drive using the defalt paths the program chooses during the install process.

Sorry Jim, Hope I’m not stepping on your toes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Heck no… I encourage feedback especially if I may be right!
