MiniWasp build!

Oh where oh where do I start!?! So I call the post office ready to put them on blast eventhough it would change nothing, and they say oops! The price was actually what you said, and you actually can get a tracking number! Our bad, but too late to do anything since the package has already been processed! …

HULK SMASH!!!

Anyways, got all my stuff in, and the quad all set to try, and guess what? Forgot the Devo10, and lipo in Ottawa! …

HULK… ah you get the picture! lol.

:frowning: Didn’t even have it in the air for more than 20 seconds! Massive wobble like when you drop a plate or bowl on the floor, and it does a dance until it comes to flat. Not sure why but I never had this issue with Steveis 1.12 fw, but with this 1.14 it’s all wacked out! I think one of the motors have a bent shaft as it’s hard to turn by hand, and when I kill the throttle the one motor stops dead!

Okay details…

200mm mtm
2822 rcx 2600kv motors
5x3 tri blades
kk2.1 1.14 lite fw
30a hk escs
2200mah 3s 35c lipo

Yes, I realise this is all heavy. So I managed to tune out the wobble/osilation by lowering my gains. Should I leave the pi limits at factory?

my settings right now, and if you guys can improve them lemme know… Have not tuched the settings for self level so imput on this aswell would be much appreciated…

Not bad for my first real tune! You can still once, and awhile see a slight quiver, but I think thats just SL doing its business! Was too dark, and windy outside so this is all I could get!

… and here we have the newborn quadcopter leaving the comfort and safety of its bed to venture out and explore the den.

Look very stable to me…

Thanks, I’ll finish off my tweeking with the string method of tuning, and then she’ll be ready for a real flight! First though I need me morning coffee!

Ok, I’m calling this one a successful build completed! Here’s it’s maiden video!

Are you flying it in acrobatic or stabilized mode?

Self Level on.

Man I love flying this thing! Best part is my pops loves flying this thing! I think it’s cause when he crashes it the only thing needed is a couple new blades! If he’s happy with his new toy then that’s all that matters!

Very nice… i am happy that you got the right setup.
I would go for 2 blade props myself …

These were all that was available at the time! If I mean mug these props they break! Just horribly brittle props!
