Miniature Trapeze swing

I don’t know if I’m on the right site for this question. If not, can anyone recommend a site I can use to find a solution for my task?

My wife builds 1/12 scale scene displays for her work. Her current project is a big top scene complete with high wire act and a trapeze. I’d like to somehow make the trapeze be able to swing. I have a few microwave turntable motors I’ve used in the past to make things spin but that seems very simple compared to this. Unfortunately, I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to circuts and things. But if someone could explain a possible solution in lay terms, I’m sure could do it. Thanks in advance for your help

Hi there,
Welcome on the forum.

I believe that I could help you a bit with this project but in order to better advise you, I would need more details on what you want to achieve.
If you could draw a sketch of your project, it could help me determine how you can build it.

Cheers!

Please forgive the crude drawing. I failed art class. I hope this gives you an idea of what I’m trying to do. Thank you

Since the ‘‘rope’’ seems to be a solid rod, you could use a servo motor to create the ‘‘swing’’.
