its a nice touch have being able to mount the boards either way. nice.
We don’t know what parts distributors will order. It’s entirely up to them. Active may do a special order for you though…
It’s something I just figured out. Will likely convert everything to it as I order new parts. 8)
well as soon as they are up and when you get an order though AR then there may be a possiblity it will be for me. retail price?
just a thought… have you thought about imprinting the Lynxmotion logo into the aluminium using a stamp or press?
yeah the option to change board orientation is a nice thouch.
So this would get used with what, HS-85 servos and ASB-3xx brackets?
the chassis will currently take standard size servos and brackets.
In the $34.95 area including all parts for building the chassis and mounting hardware for the electronics.

I’m no fan of micro servo hexapods. Gear munchers!

Fair Play.

Agree! I already broke one when it hit it’s mecanical stop. You have to treat these things like eggs.

Same thing over here. I had to replace the gears with some new (metal) once to fix it.
It still is cool to see a overall microbased (egg)hex though.

I still don’t see the aluminum spacer parts I modeled a few months ago. I sent them to you in an email If I remember correctly.
Are you referring to 3D models? If so Beth has a major update she has been working on. It’s supposed to be done today.

i wont tell…
will inquire about an order now from Active and see what markup they will add!
thanks beth.
As you know i had been looking at a a smaller mini hex chassis. jim was amazingly fast and in 30 days from inquiry he had the product made.
The CH3-R Chassis is =275mm from axis to axis
The Mini Hex Chassis is =230mm from axis to axis
But
i wonna see smaller.
**46.7% smaller to be exact! ** geek alert
Here it is:
The Mini “Mini” Hex Chassis is =146mm from axis to axis
http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd355/innerbreed/hex-dim2.jpg
i have come up with a nice way to fabricate a smaller chassis using the CH3-R base.

I wont explain yet as to why i need a smaller chassis, but its for a project iv been thinking up over the last few years. im sorta finally getting to the point were things are becoming available to me in, order for me to build it.
Once i have a few more things figured out i will start a thread.
