Mighty Zap Linear Servo Motor Actuator 30mm TTL/PWM 20N @ 90mm/s Acceleration

Hi,

I need a z-axis linear motor with a high max velocity (preferably over 100 mm/s) and a high acceleration. Currently, the closest thing I’ve found on RobotShop is the “Mighty Zap Linear Servo Motor Actuator 30mm TTL/PWM 20N@90mm/s 12V Coreless” Product code: RB-Irr02. But I don’t see a listing for what’s the acceleration of the unit–does anyone know this? I’m guessing it’ll be dependent on lift weight, so the weight I need it to lift is probably around 1 lb would be my guess.

Or if you know of any better linear motors with faster speeds that would also be helpful!

Woah these are pretty fast.

One pound is way less than the rated 20N of this actuator (approx 4.5N) so I guess the actuator will achieve full speed almost instantly (around 100 mm/s in this case since it’s 110 mm/s without any load and 90 mm/s at 20N).
