MIg welders

Hi, I was wondering how the MIg welders without any gas work… just with flux wire, how can it join metal?

WOW, I just discovered the true meaning of why they invented google

thanks for reminding me, JK, but there is a hidden message in here :stuck_out_tongue:

How it joins metal is pretty simple. The electric arc melts both the wire and the base metal, which flow together and bond when cooled. The flux wire generally works well for small simple non critical applications. The below unit usually is on sale for $100-120 and might be useful for small bot jobs. It operates on 120VAC instead of 220VAC, which is more useful for home and hobby use.

I’ve read about ten pages and still didn’t understand, that’s why I posted otherwise I don’t ask questions that are easy to find on google… unlike other people.

Thanks, zoomkat! I thought that a 120 vac would work fine for the aplication taht I need. I was looking exactly at that one!
