Micromouse robot distance sensors

Does the pololu 3pi robot allow for the addition of it sensors for wall detection of a maze?

The Pololu 3pi Robot comes with QTR-RC reflectance sensors (line following sensors) that can be used to solve line mazes.

However, if you want to use distance sensors such as an ultrasonic or infrared sensor for wall detection you can also do that.

What are the small sensors I see in micromouse contests?

But I don’t how the 3-channel 6 LED scenario works :thinking:

You could use that type of sensor for wall/obstacle detection. However, you can’t use that sensor with the 3pi platform because it doesn’t have an I2C interface (nor enough IO pins to simulate it)
