just curious if we might ever see a set made for some of the new micro digital servos?

Yeah! A micro humanoid biped!

i have used micro analogs before, the problem i did encounter was on the ankles which just didn’t have the holding power in a direct drive setup. what i ended up doing was creeating an ankle setup much like to V3 bot i found here austrobots.com/ This setup can double you output! id like to see this kind of thing offered in some cool all alu parts

I have always wanted to build a micro robo one biped. New micro sized parts would be awesome. This might help to cut the high cost of bipeds as well, I don’t think the normal(HS-81 sized) micro servos will cost as much as the others already do.

Hmmm…
It sounds fun.
I thought that analog servos were a no-no…
Why are they ok for a micro biped and not a normal biped?

Because using analog would be too easy for a normal biped  . Everyone has to make it hard. Also, analog are ALOT cheaper. A standard digital usually costs over 100$!!! For only one!!!

A standard digital servo (5475) costs $34.99, a nice one (5645) costs $54.00. People use digital servos for Bipeds simply because it’s required.

I would love to make a cheaper version of the robo-one. It will also be micro!

Not sure. I have kicked the idea around, but I don’t know. Micro servo brackets would be interesting as additions to the normal set, but I’m not convinced micro servos are up to the task making a multi servo biped.
